I began my professional career as a therapist. I specialized in sickness and disease treatments. I naively thought I could “make sick people well” – as if the power to heal was in me or in my treatment methods, rather than in God and my patients. In time I learned that all healing was an inside-out job and that all any so-called healer or therapist could do was to help sick people get themselves into that most favorable situation where their God given inner healing Wisdom could do what It knew to do, wanted to do and was trying to do, i.e. bring about a state of greater well-being.
I became aware that Life enhancement, health maintenance and disease prevention made a lot more sense than treating diseases and sickness. I awoke to the fact that it was pretty foolish to wait until a person had one foot in the grave before proper measures were taken. It also became apparent that human beings were a composite of body, mind and spirit, and that this whole represented a unity that could not be properly studied in only one part.
I came to know that the word “therapy” implied that an outside factor, other than nutrients, fresh air, pure water, sensible movement and a good attitude, could bring inside health, as if healing came from the outside-in. As a result of these realizations, I withdrew from a therapeutic approach to helping others. I walked away from a thirty-three year chiropractic practice and re-positioned myself into a new and better way. I turned my professional attention to wellness and Life enhancement and restructured my scope of practice to fit this conceptual model.
My concern now as the founder of The Wright Ministry is helping people cope in this very stressful time, in helping them maximize their potential as whole persons, in helping them attain ever higher levels of wellness, in helping them make their lives work better, and in releasing, increasing and sustaining a greater expression of Life in their lives. I no longer pretend to be able to treat or heal physical or mental disease symptoms. I believe that our methods offer a more reasonable, sound and viable way to really help people.
Because of my principled stand, it is necessary for those who come to The Wright Ministry for help to understand what we do and why. Our methods must not be confused with therapy. It is not a therapeutic approach. It’s more basic than that—it’s Cause Correction.
We describe and deal with a situation common to all human beings. A problem that will ultimately have devastating consequences if it is not addressed and properly resolved. That challenge has to do with locking, for overly long periods of time, in an inappropriate, outer-reactive stress state.
Our methods have demonstrated extraordinary results in dealing with this primary problem and in helping people improve the quality and quantity of their lives.
Be Well and God Bless,
Doc Wright
